The annual trend showcase, packed with fun, style, and entertaining discourse, kicks off on Tuesday, October 27 with the exclusive Gamehotel Soirée at Papiersaal. For the launch of the redesigned talk-show extravaganza, Gamehotel has invited a trademark roster of luminaries from the world of interactive entertainment to the bustling economic capital on the shores of Lake Zurich.
Among the Gamehotel Soirée’s many highlights is the captivating Battle of Ideas based around the theme of „Reinventing Fun - From Games to Entertainment“. In a constantly changing environment, interactive entertainment is currently reinventing itself between music, film, social media, and games, shaking up the global entertainment landscape along the way. Gamehotel Director Bruno Beusch brings together leading industry figures and promising newcomers to exchange ideas in a fast-paced multi-round battle on the present and future of interactive entertainment.
The top-notch lineup is headed by Matias Myllyrinne (FIN), CEO of legendary developer Remedy Entertainment (Max Payne), and creator of the highly anticipated psychological action thriller Alan Wake. Other gaming luminaries attending include Kevin McSherry (UK), Head of Studio, and Daniel Neil (UK), music director, at music game maker FreeStyleGames (DJ Hero); Jeroen Ellferich (NL), CEO of Ex Machina - Social Gaming Technology; as well as Marten Brüggemann (SWE), game director at young development studio Pieces Interactive; and Alex Amsel (UK), CEO of innovative production company Tuna Technologies.

Adding to the atmosphere is a special DJ set, featuring scratch masters on real and virtual turntables. The conversation continues as the 90-minute talk show extravaganza segues into a party centered around the Papiersaal bar, wrapping up the soirée in style.
